Get the Look: Kate Hudson at the Glee Premiere

Kate Hudson is as vivacious and fun to be around as she seems on screen. A true pleasure to work with.  She has amazing green/blue eyes that seem to change color depending on what products you use.   I went with coppery purples and a touch of black liner on the upper lid, and of course lots of mascara on the top (with just a touch on the bottom).  She has a great color to her skin, a perfect golden tawny color, so I just warmed up the cheeks with a touch of bronzer and a rosy blush.  I used the Smart Shade Blush as a lip color pressing it into the lips with my fingers.  It worked like a charm for a natural, barely there lip.

  1. Hi Fiona,
I love your work and glad I can follow it online. When you do a celebrity who is also a spokesmodel, are you required to use the products they advertise for? Do you find it influences the look you do for them?
    Thanks,
    Emily

  2. Hi Emily,

Here's a peek behind the curtain: yes. When you do someone who is a paid spokesperson, you do have to use that brands products on that person. I don't find it limiting, these brands have so many colors and formulas, it's pretty much the same as working out of my regular kit. And sometimes you discover a great new color or product that you didn't know about, which is always nice. There's little I love more than finding a great new shade!
